Itinerary
Day 1 :
Arrive in Srinagar (Local Srinagar)
You will be met by our representative at the Srinagar airport. He will assist and transfer you to the hotel. Afternoon sightseeing of the Mughal Gardens, visiting Nishat Bagh built by Asaf Khan, the brother -in- law of Jehangir in 1632 AD, and Shalimar Bagh built by Jehangir for his wife empress Nur Jahan. All the gardens are situated on the banks of the Dal Lake with the Zabarwan hills in the background. In the evening you will take a Shikara ride on Dal Lake at your own cost, where you visit the floating vegetable gardens. While riding the Shikara’s there are plenty of opportunities for bird watching with plentiful species including Kingfisher, Little Bittern, Common Pariah Kites, Grebe etc. Dinner and overnight in Hotel.
Day 2 :
Srinagar - Day Excursion to Sonamarg (80 Km / 1 hour)
Morning proceed for Sonmarg (Meadow of Gold). The distance of about 83 kms, will be covered in about 3 hrs. Sonmarg lies in Sindh Valley streamed with flowers and surrounded by mountains. Sonmarg is also the base for some interesting treks to the high altitude Himalayan Lakes. Opt for a pony ride to the glaciers and zero point at your own cost. In the evening, return to the hotel and relax. Facilities for dinner and overnight stay will be arranged at the hotel.
Day 3 :
Srinagar - Day Excursion to Gulmarg (135 Km / 2.5 hours)
After enjoying a delightful breakfast at the hotel, proceed towards Gulmarg for a day tour. Enjoy the scenic drive passing through beautiful towns and villages of Kunzar, Magam and Tangmarg. Take leisurely walks on the lush green meadows in Gulmarg (Meadow of Flowers) that mesmerizes you with breathtaking vistas of snow-capped mountains. Do not miss exciting activities like a pony ride along the scenic meadows or the Gondola ride (world's highest ropeway) to Khilanmarg and Apharwat at your own cost. There are many more adventure activities like skiing, horse riding, snow sledging, ATV motor-biking, snow scooters, snow mobiles etc. (snow activities in winter only). Finally, get a good night's rest back in Srinagar as you return in evening. Please note - Chained vehicle (not included) from Tangmarg (12kms ahead of Gulmarg) in case road is blocked by Snow
Day 4 :
Srinagar to Pahalgam
After a hearty breakfast, head to Pahalgam. The total distance is about 96 Kms, will be covered in about 3 hours. En route, visit the fields of Pampore and Awantipora Ruins. Arrive at Pahalgam and enjoy the beauty of Lidder Stream. Visit Famous Aru and Betab valley(on your own cost) Overnight stay will be at a hotel, in Pahalgam..
Day 5 :
Pahalgam to Srinagar
After breakfast , visit the famous Baishran meadows of kashmir also known as 'Mini Switzerland of India', Return back to Srinagar for over night stay in houseboat. Spend a romantic evening watching sunset in Nageen lake.
Day 6 :
Departure from Srinagar
After a scrumptious breakfast, check-out from the hotel and transfer to the Srinagar airport to continue your onward journey.
